11 November 2014

Event organiser:

Shanghai Jiao Tong University

Asia Communications and Photonics Conference (ACP) is now the largest conference in the Asia-Pacific region on optical communication and photonics and relevant technologies. ACP has been held annually since 2001 and jointly sponsored by OSA, SPIE, IEEE Photonics Society, COS and CIC.

ACP will address optoelectronic materials, devices, and integration; novel fibres and fibre-based devices; optical transmission systems, subsystems, and technologies; network architectures, management, and applications; biophotonics and optical sensors; and displays, solid-state lighting, photovoltaics, and energy-efficient photonics.

Feature

Cost and compatibility can make a compelling case for pushing 100Gb/s bandwidth over a single optical channel, both as individual links and supporting 400Gb/s Ethernet, finds Andy Extance

Feature

Robin Mersh takes a look at how the industry is creating next-generation optical access fit for 5G

Feature

Technological advances to aid the increasing demand for bandwidth, on the path towards the terabit network, should lead to optical signals that are flexible and adaptive, like water, argues Dr Maxim Kuschnerov and Dr Yin Wang
