R&M and Virtual Instruments partner for network monitoring

Reichle & De-Massari (R&M), the Swiss developer and provider of connectivity systems for network infrastructure, has partnered with with Virtual Instruments, the specialist in infrastructure performance management, to provide better visibility into network performance.

As a result of this partnership, R&M today launched its Total Network Visibility monitoring platform, a holistic approach to network visibility that integrates passive traffic access points (TAPs) seamlessly into its automated infrastructure management system R&MinteliPhy.

MicroCare displays CleanClicker push-to-clean tool

MicroCare, a manufacturer of cleaning, coating and lubrication products, will showcase the newest additions to its Sticklers family of fibre-optic cleaning tools at the OFC exposition in Los Angeles, California, from 24-26 March 2015.

Sticklers products are popular for fibre cleaning, the company says. At OFC, the company will showcase the new CleanClicker push-to-clean tools, which deliver a lower cost-per-cleaning in a convenient, ergonomic cleaning tool.

m2fx partners with Innogulf Solutions in Oman and UAE

m2fx is expanding its business into Oman and the United Arab Emirates through a partnership with Innogulf Solutions. 

Innogulf will provide customers with m2fx’s full product range, including its Miniflex range of pushable fibre cables. Developed to resist the toughest conditions in direct sun and long-term temperatures of 80°C, the cables are proven to reduce installation costs and increase reliability.

Furukawa launches FitelNinja NJ001 fusion splicer

The ongoing expansion of FTTx networks worldwide calls for affordable, compact and light fusion splicers that are also robust and can safely be used in demanding environments including high, narrow or dark places both inside the home and on construction sites.  Furukawa Electric has designed the FitelNinja NJ001 fusion splicer to meet these requirements.

As robust as its predecessor the S123C, the FitelNinja is considerably smaller and lighter, with improved ease of use, portability and durability, the company claims.

OFS unveils MiDia Dry FX no-gel microcable

OFS, a developer of fibre-optic cable and connectivity products, has expanded its range of totally dry optical cables with a new microcable product line.

OFS' totally dry MiDia Dry FX microcable is based on an entirely dry cable technology, which replaces the gel-based filling and flooding compounds traditionally used to prevent the spread of water in outside plant cables.

TE Connectivity unveils FACT optical distribution system

At the FTTH Conference 2015 in Warsaw TE launched its FACT optical distribution frame (ODF) system.

The FACT system is designed to enable faster and easier installation in a high-density environment, the vendor says.

The tool-less system has a high level of modularity to guarantee easy migration to new connectivity platforms and expansion within existing central office sites.
