Sumitomo Electric launches T-400S handheld fusion splicer

Sumitomo Electric Lightwave (SEL), part of the Sumitomo Electric Industries Group, has announced the T400S active clad alignment fusion splicer. The new splicer has been designed to provide one machine that accomplishes all FTTx splicing activities in the field.

Providing consistent and quality low loss splicing, the new instrument has a new, simplified user interface. It is compatible with SEL’s Lynx2 splice-on connecter, offering an economical choice for reliable deployments in the access network.
