CES award for Zyxel Communications

Zyxel Communications has won an award for its its indoor Gigabit Passive Optical Network (GPON) broadband gateway with voice and wireless IPTV.

The product has been named a CES Innovations 2014 Design and Engineering Honoree in the Home Networking Product category at the prestigious 2014 International CES show in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Zyxel describes its PMG2542 is an all-in-one, multi-service broadband gateway that offers powerful connectivity choices and applications, allowing consumers to take advantage of its large fibre bandwidth while providing service providers the capabilities and tools to deploy value rich services quickly and efficiently.

Brian Feng, senior vice president for ZyXEL, said: 'We're proud to receive CEA's prestigious Innovations Honoree award for the second consecutive year. It is a testament to ZyXEL's spirit of innovation in creating products for service providers to deliver an unmatched connected living experience to all their subscribers.'
