FLS-2800 Benchtop ITLA Tunable Laser Source

Exfo has unveiled the FLS-2800 Benchtop ITLA Tunable Laser Source, a high-power, continuous wave (CW) laser unit with narrow linewidth and high-resolution tunability. Developed jointly with Coherent Solutions, it is currently available exclusively from Exfo.

The FLS-2800 Benchtop ITLA Tunable Laser Source aims to provide researchers and engineers with a cost-effective and versatile solution for various applications, including coherent/orthogonal frequency-division multiplexing (OFDM) transmission and WDM network emulation. It is offered in single- or dual-laser configuration, with each laser being controlled independently. The front-panel knob allows the wavelength and power to be quickly and precisely adjusted.

The USB and Ethernet ports at the back of the FLS-2800 make it possible to remotely control the unit with the Exfo TLM application, which is also compatible with the IQS-2800. The TLM user interface clearly displays the laser controls and status for utmost user-friendliness and effectiveness. When automation is required, SCPI commands can be used.
