New ADVA software delivers virtualised encryption solution

Now available from ADVA is the ConnectGuard cloud software, which is designed to deliver virtualised encryption in hybrid and multi-cloud environments.

Based on the company’s Ensemble Connector, ConnectGuard cloud features military-grade encryption and zero touch provisioning capabilities to allow customers to roll out secure cloud connectivity to thousands of endpoints within minutes.  The company says that ConnectGuard Cloud has been specifically engineered for this task.

It is powered by a Senetas transport-independent encryption engine that supports dynamic software encryption at multiple layers, enabling customers to apply encryption based on the needs of the application and the type of networking available at remote sites. ADVA says that this offers a more efficient and flexible security solution with much lower latency than existing products. Christoph Glingener, CTO, COO at ADVA stated that the ConnectGuard suite secures data across Layers 1, 2, 3 and 4, which he believes is ‘something that no one else in the industry can offer.’

The software is currently in multiple trials with a number of enterprises and service providers across the globe.
