Delegates at the forthcoming FTTH Conference in Stockholm this month are invited to attend a workshop on how to maximise returns from FTTX projects.

The half-day event will be presented by representatives from FiberPlanIT, Alcatel-Lucent, Comptel, GE, iToolsOnline and TE Connectivity, and is aimed at providing an overview of a typical FTTX project with different way to ensure the maximum return on investment.

It will cover areas such as estimating costs, comparing technologies and creating optimal to-build plans while integrating field survey data, while showing will show network operators how to avoid some of the main pitfalls of FTTH deployments and quantify the benefits of making the best financial and operational decisions at each step in the process.

The workshop will comprise three parts:

  • Project management, strategic and high-level planning;
  • Detailed design and network build; and
