ECOC 2025 returns to Copenhagen with industry awards and market focus theatre

A flyer for ECCO 2025

The European Conference on Optical Communication (ECOC) Exhibition returns to Copenhagen this autumn, bringing together more than 6,000 global professionals and 300+ international exhibitors at the Bella Centre from September 29 to October 1.

Now in its 30th year, ECOC attracts manufacturers, suppliers, and service providers from around the world, all seeking to network, explore cutting-edge innovations, and stay ahead of emerging industry trends.

The 2025 exhibition will feature several dedicated areas designed to showcase the latest developments in optical communications technology. The Market Focus theatre, now in its 19th year and sponsored by Acacia (now part of Cisco), will host presentations from leading industry innovators addressing the sector's biggest challenges.

Running parallel to Market Focus, the Product Focus theatre, sponsored by Nokia, will spotlight breakthrough technologies, live demonstrations, and product launches. This theatre serves as the venue for product announcements and technology reveals.

The FTTX Focus area will showcase fibre-related products across eight dedicated zones, each focusing on specific areas of fiber-to-the-x (FTTx) applications. Exhibitors will display both new and existing products in this specialised section.

Optical communications recognition returns

The ECOC Exhibition Industry Awards will return for 2025, continuing to honour the most innovative and influential achievements in optical communications. These prestigious awards recognise groundbreaking advancements across multiple categories, including optical transport, networking, fibre-based products, photonic integrated circuits and related technologies.

Optical communications conference

The exhibition runs alongside the 2025 European Conference on Optical Communication, which takes place from September 28 to October 2. The conference portion unites pioneers and professionals from academia, research, and industry, fostering the exchange of cutting-edge discoveries and future-oriented perspectives.

ECOC attracts scientists and researchers from leading universities worldwide, as well as representatives from the industry's biggest and most influential companies. Participants present breakthrough developments spanning materials and devices to systems and networks, along with insights into future industry directions.
