UK alternative fibre-optic network provider, F&W Networks is increasing its rollout of full-fibre across the south of England, with more than 410,000 premises now passed with access to full-fibre connectivity.

The company’s ready-for-service status is advancing, which the provider says reflects its dedicated focus on conversion, while remaining committed to the UK government's broader objectives to provide access to full-fibre services to 85% of the country by 2026.

Bringing fibre-to-the-home to underserved markets

F&W Networks was founded in 2019, with the objective of bringing fibre-to-the-home to a million UK properties by 2025, specifically in areas that have previously been underserved.

Since then the company has had a rapid growth period, in which it added close to 200,000 premises in 2023, building on a fourfold increase in 2022. Today, the provider offers infrastructure options to ISP partners as well as end-user offerings via its internet service provider (ISP) retail arm, Hey!Broadband in more than 30 locations.

F&W Networks’ ISP partners

Hey!Broadband experienced significant service adoption in Horsham, High Wycombe, Crawley, Southall, Ealing, and the Oxfordshire region, and has an upcoming focus in East Grinstead, Redhill and Cranleigh. The firm is joined by other alternative ISPs offering connectivity through F&W’s network, including Fresh Fibre, Link Broadband, Home Telecom, Gigabit Networks, Fluent, Glemnet, V4 Consumer, Merula and Octaplus.

José Luis San Martín, Chief Executive Officer at F&W Networks, says: “We’re working to rapidly convert passed properties to ready-for-service with our renewed focus on customer take-up and we’ll continue to work with all our partners to ensure more businesses and homes understand and enjoy the benefits of full-fibre connectivity.”
