Coriant appoints Sandra Krief as managing director to strengthen position in North America

NAPERVILLE, ILLINOIS – Coriant has announced the appointment of Sandra Krief to managing director for North America. In this position, she will be responsible for sales operations, business development, channel strategy, and customer support throughout the U.S. and Canada. Based in New York City, Krief will report directly to the company’s chief customer officer and EVP of Global Sales and Digital Marketing, Homayoun Razavi.

FiberLight’s Kevin Coyne promoted to chief operating officer

ATLANTA, GEORGIA – FiberLight has announced the promotion of its chief financial officer, Kevin Coyne, to the position of chief operating officer. As a member of FiberLight’s board of directors and one of the company’s original founders, Kevin has held a progression of roles within the organization since 1998.  While maintaining focus on finance, accounting, treasury, tax, carrier access and other cost-control teams, Kevin’s new role will expand his responsibilities to include guidance and oversight for engineering, construction, information technology and project management activities.

Hurricane Electric expands network to Telehouse America Staten Island data centre

Nokia reveals new president of global services as Sanjay Goel

ESPOO, FINLAND – Nokia has announced the appointment of Sanjay Goel as president of global services and member of the group leadership team from 1 April 2018. Goel will report to Nokia president and chief executive officer, Rajeev Suri. Igor Leprince, who previously held position, will support Goel during a transition period and then leave Nokia to pursue opportunities outside the company.

‘I want to thank Igor for his contributions to Nokia. I warmly welcome Sanjay to the GLT, and look forward to working together to further strengthen Global Services,’ said Rajeev Suri.

Coriant selected for Converge metro Ethernet service expansion in Philippines

NAPERVILLE, ILLINOIS – Coriant has announced that Converge ICT Solutions has selected the Coriant 7090 Packet Transport Platform and Coriant Transcend Chorus network management to expand delivery of carrier-grade metro Ethernet services across the Philippines. The nationwide deployment will span over 450 sites and help Converge better serve the broadband, wholesale, and cloud connectivity needs of its small, medium, and large enterprise customers.

Ensemble open technology a ‘key component’ for Fujitsu managed networks solution

LONDON, UK – Ensemble, a division of ADVA, announced today that Fujitsu is using the Ensemble Orchestrator and Connector as a key component of its EMEIA managed network services offering. Fujitsu is leveraging Ensemble's network functions virtualisation (NFV) technology to deliver its Virtual Edge solution to business customers across multiple countries. Virtual Edge will be hosted at the customer premises on commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) white box servers.

Türksat chooses Teleste headend optics for broadband network upgrades

TURKU, FINLAND – Teleste Corporation will deliver optical headend products to Turkish cable and satellite operator, Türksat. The deliveries will be carried out during 2018 in cooperation with Teleste’s local partner, Telco İletişim Teknolojileri. The deployment will strengthen Teleste’s position as a provider of network products and technologies in the area.
