The NEW DPSK reference transmitter from Photline Technologies  is now available from Laser Components.The latest addition, the ModBox-1550nm-DPSK, makes Photline Technologies ModBoxes the most comprehensive range of high data-rate reference optical transmitters for test in laboratory and production.

It is an optical modulation unit that generates high-performance DPSK optical data streams. The equipment incorporates a modulation stage based on a high data rate LiNbO3 Mach-Zehnder modulator, coupled with a high performance RF driver and a robust automatic bias control circuitry. It can also receive an internal laser source (DFB, ITLA...), and a receiver stage based on a delay line interferometer and balanced detector.

The ModBox-1550nm-12Gbps-DPSK provides R&D is a turn-key instrument that can be used as a reference transmitter in optical telecommunications laboratories, in test beds and in production.

In addition to the traditional 1550nm wavelength range, it is also available at 1310nm and for data rates up to 56Gb/s.  ModBox reference transmitters are also available for alternative modulation formats (DQPSK, NRZ) and as customised equipment.
